December 13, 2012- Staffs from Fujian Province Science and Technology Association came to Xiamen Olympic Museum to shoot a propaganda film.

    Among the popular science education bases in Fujian Province, Xiamen Olympic Museum is the only one with Olympic theme. It has been operated for near five years, and is always aimed at spreading Olympic culture and transmitting Olympic spirit. Through continual enriching the museum’s collections, expanding exhibition forms, and developing various propaganda methods, the museum lets more citizens and visitors, especially the youth students, have further understanding of the abundant Olympic knowledge. While exposing them in Olympic atmosphere and spirit can help them develop positive daily habits of loving sports and fighting.

    As the development of modern science and technology, more and more science and technologies have been used in the Olympic Games whether in the competition equipments and venues or in the Olympic security, medals, torches, etc., on the contrary, Olympic Games also promotes the development of some relevant science and technologies. Therefore, the museum held many science and technology- themed exhibitions, video plays, lectures and so on in order to comprehensively display the science & technology elements used in Olympic Games and the close relationship between them.

    In the future, the museum will continue to insist on its initial purpose, further strengthen its construction in popular science base, and expand investment to optimize its facilities and equipments, so as to meet the vast visitors’ needs of Olympic knowledge, especially the needs of the youth students.
