Ms. Yun Wu, Deputy Curator of Xiamen Olympic Museum, attended the IOC OVEP training workshop

In order to develop the Olympic Values Education and Training Program, on April 24th, the Olympic Values Education Program Training Workshop hosted by the Culture and Olympic Heritage Foundation of the IOC and the Beijing Olympic City Development Promotion Center was officially held at the Beijing Olympic Museum. Ms. Yun Wu, Deputy Curator of Xiamen Olympic Museum, attended the training.


The theme of the training was "Train the Trainer", which was conducted by Ms. Jamolli, Director of International Cultural Affairs of the Foundation, and Ms. Xenia, Senior Manager of Olympic Values Education. The workshop was organized with the aim of jointly promoting the popularization of Olympic education.


At the training, Ms. Wu Yun, Deputy Director of the museum, made a speech on behalf of the group and shared her personal experience in Olympic education over the years and introduced to the audience our programs such as "The Play of Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony", "The Simulated Olympic Bid", "Little Torchbearer" and other popular social education activities in recent years.


Ever since our establishment, the museum has been conducting Olympic Values Education Program. Within the 3 days training, new idea and methods have been learned to do better in the Olympic Values Education Program in the future.

As a founding member of OMN, the museum has developed various Olympic Values Education Program, which includes The Simulated Olympic Bid, enabling the teenagers to know and love their motherland in the aspects of sports, politics and economy.


The Play of Olympic Flame Lighting Ceremony restores the whole process of the flame collecting ceremony by the highest priestesses in the Olympic Games, so that everyone can understand in a more intuitive way. The Olympic torch ceremony originated from the story of Prometheus stealing fire for humans in Greek mythology. The Olympic Flame was first lit during the opening ceremony of the IX Olympic Games at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1928.The first Olympic Torch Relay occurred at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games.
