Today, the grade 5 and grade 6 teachers and students of Xiamen Wuyuan Experimental school had a special spring outing of research and study in XOM, to have a more vivid and intuitive understanding for the Olympic spirit and charm, enrich extracurricular life, broaden the horizons, and experience the happiness of collective travel.  They spent a great day in XOM.

Watch the Museum Collections

  Guided by the narrator, the students visited each exhibition hall in an orderly manner. They had a close view of the Olympic cultural relics, pictures, text and other precious collections,  each piece of which witnessed a period of history.  Through the detail explanation of the narrators, the students not only understood the mystery behind the cultural relics, but also deepened the knowledge of the Olympic spirit.

   In Every corner around the museum,  there existed thick learning atmosphere.

 The students expressed their sincere admiration to Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, the founder and curator of XOM, and took photos.

Participated in Interactive Games

   The purpose of the interactive games ,including Touch the Stones to Cross the River,  Rolling Wheels, Olympic Gold Medal Battle,Throwing Arrows to Vase etc.， was to enhance the communication and friendship among team members, promote team cooperation and improve team cohesion.

   During the Olympic knowledge answering session, the students participated  enthusiastically to answer the questions, showing their learning abilities and good mental outlook.

 Olympic Collective Painting

   The last part of the activity was collective painting. The children gave full play to their imagination ， designed their favorite mascots and patterns that reflected their Olympic dream.

   As the only national popular science education base with Olympic theme, every year during the spring and autumn semester, many middle schools and primary schools organize students to participate in the Olympic extracurricular activities in Xiamen Olympic museum, during which students learn the spirit of facing difficulties and being courageous to challenges from the Olympic champions.

   Xiamen Olympic Museum, one of the twenty-eight members of the International Olympic Museums Network, is a non-profitable international organization approved by International Olympic Committee and China Olympic Committee. It is the first Olympic Museum entitled “Olympics” in China.
