Mr.Ching-Kuo Wu, the Curator of XOM, Attended the 38th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia(OCA)

On March 3rd,Mr.Ching-Kuo Wumember of the international Olympic committee(IOC), and Mrs.Wu headed for Bangkok, Thailand to attend the 38th annual general assembly of the Olympic council of Asia (OCA). During the meeting, re-election of president, vice president and president of the 15 committees was held.  Kuwait prince Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Sabah, member of the IOC, was reappointed consecutively as the president of OCA. Meanwhile, Mr. Tsunekazu Takeda, member of IOC and president of Japan Olympic Committee (JOC), was reappointed consecutively as the vice president of OCA. Besides , Kevin, Kuo-I Chen, the consultant of Olympic Committee, was re-elected as the president of Finance Committee of OCA and also the executive member of OCA.


The meeting also approved that athletes from Oceania countries would be eligible to compete in a number of team events at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games , including volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball, football and fencing.


According to the approval during the meeting,the 2021 Asian youth games would be held in Shantou, Guangdong province, China . The games would be the largest comprehensive youth games in Asia, with its events consist of at least nine items among the 28 Olympic events which would last for 9 days, and athletes from 45 Asia countries whose is aged between 14 to 17.


    

Mr. Wu and Mrs. Wu congratulated Kuwait prince Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Sabah on his re-election as OCA president.
