On Feb. 9th, teachers from board of education and representative teachers of primary and secondary schools of Beijing Changping District visited our museum, as accompanied by vice curator Wu.
Along the corridor of our museum, they
stopped now and then to view carefully. By visiting several theme exhibitions
such as the past, present and future of Olympic Games, collecting and sharing,
Olympic gallery, teachers got the chance to wander in the history and culture of
Olympic. Our museum has rich collections of medals, mascots, torches, badges
and stamps, etc. in all previous Olympic Games, presenting a permanent show of
its development history from ancient Greek to modern era and the tortuous development
history from suspension during world war two to its current boom.
By paying a
visit, teachers got the opportunity to gather valuable knowledge about the
Olympic history and the development of Olympic technology, which stimulated their enthusiasm
towards Olympic while enhancing their sense of historical responsibilities and
the importance of bearing mission in mind. They said, they got to realize the
core values of Olympic values—excellence, friendship and respect, and Olympic
spirits—faster, higher and stronger. They shall pass on values and spirits of
Olympic to each and every student. At the end, they pointed that given the fact
that our museum has abundant resources of popular science and interactive
projects, students would fully understand the values and rich connotation of
Olympic by paying a visit to our museum to view and experience on their own,
based on which, they would organize students to visit our museum on their vacation.
