Xiong Xiaojiang--Vice Chairman of Nanchang—and his party visited our museum under the companion of vice chairman of Xiamen, Pan Shijian.

Vice president Xiong visited the basic display and temporary exhibition in our museum and inquired about the preparation of construction and operation situation of our museum, about which vice curator Wu gave detailed introduction. During her guide, vice curator Wu specially introduced the Postcard exhibition of Samaranch that just launched. She said that a single piece of postcard conveyed not only Samaranch’s concerns on his family, but also his hard work and fighting for Olympic cause. He visited all five continents, with his footprints covered many places, of which the natural scenery, historical places, local conditions and customs can be spotted from the postcards. Those postcards also witnessed the revitalization of Olympic movement under his leadership. Vice chairman Xing is very amazed at the stories and connotations behind each and every postcard.

At the end, vice curator Xiong said that Xiamen Olympic Museum did contain profound cultural deposits and it plays an irreplaceable role in the promoting Olympic spirits, inheriting Olympic culture and enrich citizens’ spiritual and cultural lives, etc. He hoped that our museum can constantly optimize our services, making it more popular among the public.
