On Oct. 4^th, deputy director of Fujian Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department and director of Fujian Daily, Cai Xiaowei along with director of Xiamen Municipal Sports Department, Fu Xiaochun, as well as deputy director of Xiamen Municipal Propaganda Department, Shangguan Jun, inspected the museum.

Cai showed his care to the development of the museum and the vice curator expounded the detailed running of the museum, e.g., the exhibition display, collections, educational promotion and social service. The director highly appreciated the museum’s display concept and its important role in inheriting and promoting the Olympism and Olympic culture, in building up quality education among the youngsters and in the exchanges of sports across the strait as well as home and abroad. Besides, he suggested the museum’s exhibition display, the key function, be enhanced and further constructed, the new traits of social and cultural lives be well defined, more contents and forms of exhibitions be extended and innovated. There should be more Olympic themed temporary exhibitions that are close to the people and more teenager-targeted activities. And the Olympic resources should be well made used of to create a  better atmosphere for teenager’s education and self-improvement.

Those suggestions were appreciated by the vice curator and she recommended that Xiamen Olympic Museum, as a member of the IONM and base for national scientific popularity and education, would make full use of the Olympic collections and live out their true values, spare no efforts in promoting the Olympism and the development of the Olympics. At the end of today’s inspection, the vice curator introduced the preparations for the 8^th cross-strait Cultural Industries Expo and Trade Xiamen Olympic Museum Venue like the exhibitions and activities to be held.
