British Secondary Students Visit XOM to Experience Olympics in the Summer Camp

British secondary students visit XOM for Olympic study & experience in the summer camp on June 13th.

 

Students arrive at the main hall of the museum with the narrator’s guidance. The first sight is a special megalith lying in the center of the hall. It is the guarding treasure of the museum named “Heaven Jade from Yangzi River”. The narrator makes a detailed introduction of the origin, features and stories of the jade stone. Students all feel amazed about it. In the hall, students have seen Beijing Olympic medals, Xiangyun torch, Vancouver Winter Olympic torch, Los Angeles Olympic torch, Olympic Fou and other collectibles. In the presentation hall, students also watch Olympic documentary attentively.

 

On the second floor, after visiting 4 exhibition rooms, students have systematically understood and learned the development history of ancient Olympics and modern Olympics, as well as the organization of IOC, etc. Students are very attentive when the narrator is introducing exhibits. They learn and know more Olympic knowledge by self-service inquiry system in the museum. Most students show great interest in the valuable 1948 London Olympic torch exhibited in no. 3 show room, and they are pretty active in taking photos.

 

London will host the summer games for the third time in July 2012, which also cause summer camp’s students show great passion and interest in Olympics, and they are pretty attentive and careful during the visit.

 

After the tour, students also pick some souvenirs in the gift shop as a memory for this Olympic trip.
