Organized by China Meteorological Bureau in partenership with Chinese Meteorological Society, the 29^th National Youth Summer Camp of over 200 students from across the country, paid a visit at the XOM on the afternoon of 23^rd, July.

The theme of this summer camp “Caring for Climate, Advocating Low-carbon Lifestyle” is basically in agreement with the advacated Beijing Olympics Values, which is “Green Olympic, High-tech Olympic, Humanistic Olympic”. Nowerdays, as the fast developed industrialization and urbanization, more people are benefitted a lot in the material world with environment undergoing much press of deterioration. Nevetheless, advocating a low-carbon lifestyle among the students is quite imperative and significant.

The students were shown around the museun and deeply impressed by the Olympic collections ranging from Olympic memorabilia of medals, torches, fou and badges to some pictures presenting the Olympic history and its important values on people's life.

After the visit, the students indicated that the experience at XOM broadened their knowledge about the Green Olympic and High-tech Olympic, especially the role it played on both science and sports.
