Quake-hit children came to feel the Olympic passion

A group of 42 children from earthquake-hit Yushu County came to feel the Olympic passion by getting close contact with the Beijing Olympic torch and jade-metal medaas at the Xiamen Olympic Museum.
Accompanied by the guide, they had a tour around the exhibition halls, amazing at the Jade, a masterpiece of nature with 80 tons sitting in the center of museum, enjoying the Auspicious Torches signed by IOC President and Honory President respectively, and particularly excitied by hitting the “Olympic Fou”. The children were also proivded by myth of ancient Olympic origin, interesting stories happened in the development of modern Olympic as well as the background information of each Olympic Memorabilia throuth the visiting, which enriching their knwoledge about the Olympic Movement. “It is a fantastic experience of Olympics that I will take what I have seen and learned to shared with my friends at my hometown”, as one of the children noted.
On coming to the podium of Beijing Olymics and the Boxing Ring, the children jumped on to feel the excitement of winner with great delight. A student indicated that it was his first time to fullly experience boxing with sheer pleasure, and it would be better if the children in his hometowen could come to enjoy it. A prize-winning quiz on Olympic knowledge was prepared for the children after visit, during which the child gave right answer could win a limited edition of ticket.
At the end of visit, the museum also showed care for the quick-hit children by presenting each child an “Olmypic package”, with heartest hope for their better life in the future.
