This afternoon, a meeting about establishing the “Olympic City” in Xiamen was convened at the Xiamen Olympic Museum. Xiamen Municipal Standing Committee, Secretary-General Mo, Xu, Deputy Director of Xiamen Sports Bureau Yongsheng, Geng, Director of Urban Planning Bureau Guoyan, Ren, and members from Siming Authorities attended the meeting and heard the report on the progress of “Olympic City”, with detailed information concerning the background, scale, feasibility and prospect of the project. The leaders gave specific requirement and guidance, during the informal discussion after the report, particularly in terms of project feasibility and land planning which were put forward by Secretary-General Mo, Xu and Director of Urban Planning Bureau Guoyan, Ren respectively.
