Known as "the toughest challenge in the world",  IRONMAN has inspired countless people since its inception in 1978 to challenge themselves, go beyond their limits, and practice "nothing is impossible". The 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 Xiamen started on November 10th. Ms. Yuping Yao, Deputy District Chief of Siming District, came to Xiamen Olympic Museum and organized on-the-spot instruction.

   Along with her delegation, Deputy Chief Yao arrived at Xiamen Olympic Museum - the on scene command center of the competition and supervised the conditions of triathlon cycling area, details of race route setup, event security and other aspects to  guarantee complete success of the race.

   After the race, the event preparation staff visited XOM, and was warmly received. Under the guide of the staff of our museum, the guests visited all the exhibition halls of XOM. All of them gasped in admiration by the various Olympic collections and narrator’s elaborate stories.

  The visit reminded them of the time which they had devoted to the Olympic Games. And they expressed their wish to can make more efforts for the Olympics in the future.
