XOM Being Invited to Participate in the 2019 New Year Welcoming Activity of KULANGSU Gallery of Foreign Artefacts from the Palace Museum Collection

    Today, Xiamen Olympic Museum (XOM) was invited to participate in the 2019 New Year welcoming activity of KULANGSU Gallery of Foreign Artefacts from the Palace Museum Collection.  With the theme of "Welcome the New Year with Elegant Collection", this activity was hosted by Xiamen Federation of Literature and Art and undertaken by KULANGSU Gallery of Foreign Artefacts from the Palace Museum Collection.

 


    A cultural and artistic performance, for the benefit of the public, with the theme of "Welcome the New Year in the Piano Island of World Heritage ", "Cultural Integration" and "Co-construction of Civilization" was elaborately organized in the service center of the municipal union of literary and art. In addition to the wonderful show, this activity also consisted of welcoming tea, online activities for treasure hunt, interactive segments and other activities. The exchange activity is a good reference for the activity planning of Xiamen Olympic Museum.

 

    KULANGSU Gallery of Foreign Artefacts from the Palace Museum Collection was established by Xiamen municipal government in cooperation with the Palace Museum. It is the first theme branch set up by the Palace Museum, focusing on displaying the foreign cultural relics dated from the Ming and Qing dynasties till now collected by the Palace Museum.



    In recent years, Xiamen Olympic museum has continuously strengthened its service and business function, and actively participated in interactive museum exchange activities to learned the advanced work experience from other museums. Through exchange activities, the service and business level of Xiamen Olympic museum are improved, and the development of the museum are promoted. In this way, the Olympic culture and spirit are better transmitted and carried forward.
