IOC Executive Member Mr C.K. Wu Made a Speech in Laining

Yesterday afternoon, IOC executive member and the chef of AIBA, Mr. C.K. Wu, who is also the guest professor of the Olympic colleague of Nanjing Physical Education Institute spoke glowingly to students about his Olympic attachment. Following that, he delivered a speech, the topic of which is “30 years’ vow with Five interlocked rings”


Mr C.K. Wu actively pushed the exchange across strait on sports and witnessed the whole process of Beijing bidding for the Olympic games, contributing a lot to Beijing’s successful bidding for the summer Olympic in 2008 and also the winter Olympic in 2022. He devoted much of his energy and passion to the hosting of Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing. He established four museums entitled Olympic in China so as to promote and carry forward the spirits and values of Olympic.


During his speech, Mr Wu recalled the scene of voting while Beijing bidding for summer Olympic Games. He said that “Right before voting, my parents told me in sincere and earnest tone that you must remember that you are a Chinese when you vote.” As the chef of AIBA, Mr Wu also introduced that how he promoted and popularized Boxing in Olympic family and global, as well as his ideas on the revolution and promotion of boxing.
