The national Children’ Day is on June 1 which is also the Dragon Boat Festival one of the Chinese traditional festivals. To celebrate these two festivals, XOM held a series of parents-child activities.

There were 40 families experiencing Olympic culture on June1 in XOM. They visited Sochi Winter Olympic Games, London Olympic Games, Xiamen Sailing Boat Photographic Exhibition and Marathon Photographic Exhibition in order. During visiting, all the parents and children listened attentively to the narrator. They were very excited when they stood on the 2008 Olympics podium and experienced 4D game and boxing. In the end, all children took an active part in the Olympic Knowledge quiz. Thanks to the narrator’s explanation during visiting, they answered all the questions accurately. The child who answered rightly could get an exquisite gift.

Museum is a peaceful environment which needs visitor be quite during visiting. The children did quite well during visiting. As the national science education base, XOM showed people Olympic spirit by plenty of collections including textual and graphic files. After visiting, all the children learned the Olympic spirit of mutual understanding, friendship and unity especially fairness.
