Sochi Winter Olympics Exhibition named‘ Review Sochi Olympics and Prospect Winter Olympics’ has been itinerated and shown throughout the country and Xom has held the exhibition ceremoniously as the first stop On May 7. There were many people attending the ceremony: Ching-kuo Wu the IOC EB member, AIBA president and also the curator of XOM; Shijian Pan the vice chairman of Xiamen Municipal CPPCC; Xiaochun Fu the director of Xiamen Sports Bureau; Xuyang Lin the deputy head of Siming District; Chuxuan Xu the director of Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee department of Xiamen Municipal CPPCC; Guilin Chen the deputy director of Xiamen Tourism Bureau; Yunli Li the deputy director of Xiamen Cultural Bureau; Mingzhe Wu the director of  Taiwan Affair Office; Aicong Xu the Secretary of Party Committee in Xiamen Association for Science and Technology; Guorong Zeng the president of Siming district Association for Science and Technology; Yixi Huang the office director of Xiamen Handicap People Federation; Xianglun Huang the deputy director of Xiamen Committee for the Wellbeing of Youth; Dali Chen principle of Xiamen Special Education School; Houbin the image ambassador of first international Olympics. The attendance is almost 200 including all the other people from social organization and social enterprise.

According to the introduction, this is the first exhibition of Sochi Winter Olympics collections in China. The exhibition aimed at showing the process of Sochi Winter Olympics with plenty of image-texts and material objects. The material objects included Sochi Winter Olympics torch, torch bearer cloth, mascots, officer posters, commemorative medals, commemorative stamps, commemorative envelops, related files and the collections of recent winter Olympics. The image-texts is about the competition events, venues introduction and so on. The exhibition showed people how excellent the Sochi Winter Olympic Games is. 

As an international unprofitable organization, XOM always devoted itself to public welfare establishment. In Sochi Winter Olympics Exhibition, XOM invited Xiamen Handicap People Federation, Xiamen Special Education School and Xiamen Committee for the Wellbeing of Youth and other vulnerable groups to attend the ceremony. On the ceremony, a blind man from Xiamen Handicap People Federation played erhu. Xom always pay much attention on vulnerable people.

XOM is the first Olympic museum in China which held many exhibitions since its opening day. Such as ‘walk with holy flam’ ‘paralympic hero walk into XOM’ ‘AIBA boxing history’ ‘Xiamen marathon photographic exhibition’ ‘London Olympics exhibition’ and so on. XOM played an important role in improving Xiamen sports and tourism.  About 500,000 visitors at home and abroad had been attracted to XOM where is aiming at spreading Olympic culture and Olympic spirit.

As the national science education base, XOM is always busy in youth education by holding many activities for youngsters, so that they could experience Olympic, learn Olympic and share Olympic by themselves. Such as, summer camp and winter camp, Olympic knowledge lecture and competition and so on.
