On March 16, with the great support from XOM, cultural exchange seminar of flying dragon martial art was held in XOM. There are hundred cross-strait experts and professors coming to attend the seminar.

At the beginning, deputy curator of XOM Ms.Wu made a brief presentation. She expressed that martial art is the great fruit of people and it has much common features with Olympic culture although it is not an official competition event in Olympics. Later on, the professors of martial art institutes from Beijing Sports University and Xian Sports University made keynote speech.

This seminar aims at improving the development of martial art with the help of each sports institute and cultural institute.

Xiamen Olympic Museum is the first Olympic Museum entitled “Olympics” in China approved by International Olympic Committee and China Olympic Committee. The museum was founded by International Olympic Committee Member, the president of International Boxing Association, Mr.Ching-kuo Wu who is also the curator of our Museum. Since the opening day in 2008, XOM had held dozens of sport exhibitions. XOM always offers platform for cultural exchange and for improving cross-strait communication. ‘Vigorous and self-motivated’ the spirit of Chinese martial art coincides with the spirit of Olympics ‘higher, faster, stronger’. In a word, this seminar is a perfect example of martial art connecting with Olympics.
