The Athletes and Volunteers of Yachting Race Came to the Museum

July 18, the athletes and volunteers of the third yachting race for cross-straits college students and the first yachting race for trans-pacific college students came to the museum. They were from almost 20 universities in China, Singapore and America.
Many of them came to the museum for the first time although some of them had been to Xiamen many times. Therefore, they were quite interesting in all the collections including the exhibits of the international sports exhibition, London Olympic game exhibition, especially Xiamen sailing boat exhibition. They expressed their admiration to the eight sailors of Xiamen sailing boat. Accompanied by the commentator, they also visited the main exhibition halls of the museum one by one.
After visiting, they praised the special display of the museum which impressed them much. They also expressed their admiration to Mr. wu the curator of the museum. One of them said: “Mr. wu is quit respected that he shows his collections in Xiamen to share with all the people from Mainland and Taiwan”
Xiamen Olympic museum is the first Olympic museum in China. The museum had held many activities for the cross-straits youngsters since it takes the cultural communication between mainland and Taiwan quite seriously. In the future, the museum will try much better to promote the cross-straits communication.
