The Xiamen set sail in November 3, 2011, and returned Xiamen in September 14, 2012, with a voyage of about two thousand and three hundred sea miles, passing some countries, like the Philippines, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, South Africa, Madagascar, Seychelles, Maldives, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore, stretching over the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, across Drake Strait and Malacca Strait, crossing Cape Horn and Cape of Good Hope. In the tough situation of the voyage, the sailors overcame the severe cold and burning hot, defeated the injuries and fear, finally came true the dream of the first voyage around the world of China’s sailing boat, also the first time to cross the Prevailing Westerlies, the South Pacific, and the Cape Horn. The Xiamen created a new glory in the history of marine navigation, and left the steps of China’s sailing boat on our blue planet.
