May 5, 2012- Deputy director of Xiamen Olympic Museum, Ms. Wu Yun, accepted Pro. Shiliang Yang’s donation of the large scale news photos collage -- "Guo Xi" in Shenyang. Ms. Wu confirmed and spoke highly of the artistic value of "Guo Xi" and Pro. Yang's generous donation was sincerely appreciated. This precious art piece will be delivered to the museum for display in time.

A brief introduction of "Guo Xi": It is a large scale news photos collage with 14.64 meters in length and 2.40 meters in height, created at the occasion of Beijing 2008 Olympics by Pro. Shiliang Yang who carefully selected pictures from about ten thousand pieces of newspapers and finished the design and compiling of the huge art piece in three months. "Guo Xi" records Beijing Olympics in detail from the opening ceremony on August 8, 2008 to the closing ceremony. The collage is divided into 12 sectors, covering pictures from ancient Olympiad through Beijing 2008, generating a strong sight impact. Pictures of either athletes, volunteers or state leaders not only indicate friendship and justice, but also reflect people's admiration for peace and desire to love.
