On the afternoon of May 19th, Party Literature Research Centre of the CPC Central Committee’s Executive Deputy Director Yang Sheng Qun and the party pay a study visit to XOM.

 

With the narrator’s guidance, Director Yang and the group visit the museum’s hall and main exhibition rooms upstairs. When seeing the Xiangyun torch with President Rogge’s Chinese and English signature, Director Yang expresses that it is very precious for it is not wide-spread. In the exhibition rooms upstairs, Director Yang watches the documentary of Mr. Hou Bin carefully, and asks more information about Mr. Hou Bin from the accompanying Xiamen municipal leaders. Yang comments that XOM should discover and bring in more Olympic champion’s stories like Mr. Hou Bin. These positive and inspiring authentic Olympic stories are very instructive for tourists, especially teenagers.

 

Though Director Yang doesn’t stay for a long time, he has acquired a general impression and had an overall understanding of XOM. He admires that Curator Ching-Kuo Wu has collected abundant Olympic treasures, and speaks highly of Ching-Kuo Wu’s efforts for promoting sports cultural communication between the Straits as well as helping develop Olympics in China for years. Director Yang hopes that XOM would keep focusing on spreading Olympic culture and promoting Olympic spirit, increasing the collectibles so as to better serve groups who show passion in Olympics. Director Yang’s pertinent suggestions are highly appreciated as well.

 

Director of Propaganda Department of CPC Xiamen Committee Hong Biling, Deputy Secretary-general of CPC Xiamen Committee Qiu Taixia are also in the visiting group.
