On May 15th, the launching ceremony of 2011 Xiamen Scientific and Technological Talents Activity Week jointly sponsored by Xiamen Technology Bureau, Organization Department, Publicity Department and Scientific Association is held in Xin Jing Shu Ma Square. At the launching ceremony, awards are given to organizations who have won the title of Fujian Provincial Popular Science Education Base. XOM is awarded the title and has officially become one of the bases.

Before voting Fujian Provincial Popular Science Education Bases, Fujian Provincial Scientific Association and officials of Scientific Association in other cities have been to XOM many times for inspection and investigation. An overall examination and assessment have been carried out on XOM’S software and hardware facilities. High appraisal and affirmation are given to XOM and it is finally approved to be Fujian Provincial Popular Science Education Base.

XOM has been offered the title of Popular Science Education Base, Olympic Education Base awarded by Scientific Association of Siming District and Xiamen City since it opened three years ago. In fact, behind in obtaining these honors, XOM has devoted a lot of efforts. Its mission is to spread Olympic culture, promote Olympic spirit, and it always bears in mind its social responsibility. XOM will keep enhancing the development of its Scientific Association, upgrade the technology, improve the service and strive to create better atmosphere and environment for vast visitors especially the teenagers to study Olympic culture, experience Olympic technology and share the pleasure of Olympics.
