Recently, Xiamen Olympic Museum was awarded “Education Base of Popular Science” in Xiamen by the Publicity Office of the CPC Xiamen Municipal Committee and Xiamen Association for Science and Technology, together with other 7 institutions in Xiamen.

According to the statistics, total 41 institutions in Xiamen have been awarded the title “Education Base of Popular Science” since 1998, including Underwater World Xiamen and Xiamen Botanical Garden. These education bases have played important roles in the promotion of popular science among the young people and also contributed a lot to the enhancements of the public’s qualities of science and culture and the establishment of a civilized city.
