January 12, 2013- The leaders and staffs from Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office inspected Xiamen Olympic Museum. During the forenoon, led by the guide at the museum, they watched the Photo Exhibition of Xiamen Sailing Boat Voyage around the World, the documentary of the voyage, London 2012 Olympic Games Exhibition, and visited other exhibition halls of the museum.
One week ago, the First Modern Olympic Marathon Champion’s Collections Donation Ceremony was held at the museum, sponsored by Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office, Xiamen Olympic Museum and so on, therefore, the staffs of Xiamen Foreign Affairs Office decided to pay a visit to the museum. During the visiting, the museum explainer introduced the detailed information of the museum’s efforts on Olympic propaganda, the teenager Olympic popular science education, sports culture communication with foreign countries in the last five years. The guests spoke highly of the museum’s positive impact in these fields, and appreciated the founder Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu’s building the first Olympic Museum of China in Xiamen, because Xiamen Olympic Museum has become an important platform for Xiamen sports culture communicating with foreign countries.
