Xiamen Olympic Museum Celebrates “International Olympic Day”

June 22, 2012- Xiamen Olympic Museum held exhibitions of “Summer Olympics Souvenirs” and “Sign to Welcome London 2012”, to celebrate International Olympic Day.
In the “Summer Olympics Souvenirs” exhibition, some of the most creative and meaningful Olympic souvenirs were displayed. They all were of high values of art, appreciation and collection. While, “Sign to Welcome London 2012” were carried out both online and offline, in forms of signature and twitter, to welcome London Olympiad and cheer for Chinese athletes. In addition, twitter users who attend our activity have chances to get tickets of the museum.
International Olympic Committee was official set up in Paris on June 23, 1894. To commemorate this significant historical moment, IOC decided it as annual “International Olympic Day” from 1984, in purpose of encouraging people all over the world, regardless of sex, age and sports skill level, to join in the sports movement.
