January 7, 2012- Iordanis Louizos, the mayor of Marathon City, Greece, leading a group visited Xiamen Olympic Museum, accompanied by the deputy curator, Ms. Wu Yun.

Led by the guide of the museum, Mr. Louizos successively visited all the exhibition halls, as well as the “Photography Exhibition on Marathon”. As Olympic Movement was originated in Greece, and as the mayor of Marathon City, Mr. Louizos has a comprehensive and further understanding of Olympics. During the visit, he made some precious comments and suggestions for the museum on the display of Olymlpics.

At the end of the visit, Mayor Louizos left some words about his visiting experience. He stated: “I was very impressed with the museum for two reasons: a) the affluent items; b) the hospitality.”
