At 9 a.m. of October 29, 2011, the opening ceremony of Sports Branch of the 4th Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair was splendidly held at XOM, which symbolized the official beginning of the 3-day Sports Branch Fair. It was the second time that XOM successively undertook the fair.
On the opening ceremony, Ms. Wu Yun, the vice curator of XOM, first delivered an opening speech to introduce the relevant information of the Sports Branch Fair to the live audiences and media, and then she announced the official beginning of the fair.
In the following time, some style performances were arranged. Firstly, Ai Jingwei, a pupil of grade five from a primary school, displayed a Taichi show to the audiences, which was full of Chinese traditional characteristics. Then, Xiamen City Singers Band, who had ever performed in Shanghai 2010 World Expo, boosted audiences' enthusiasm to an upsurge by singing four songs successively, such as "Shi Shang Zhi You ", "Only You". After which, Yoga performers from Asana Yoga School, caught all spectators' breath and attentions by their stretch poses and exclusive spirit. Finally, the roller skating performed by some friends from E Lu Liu Roller Skating Club increased the live atmosphere to another upsurge. Today, there were hundreds of Xiamen citizens came to the museum to watch the style performance.
After the opening ceremony, XOM offered a chance for every citizen to visit all the exhibition halls for free to let them enjoy a personal experience of Olympics.
In addition, as an important subordinated activity of the Cultural Industries Fair, a large scale public benefit activity of " Ten Thousand Students See Special Economic Region" also conducted at the museum after the opening ceremony. About two hundred students visited XOM, and all the style performances were once again displayed for them. And then, accompanied by the guides of the museum, students had an Olympic tour to experience the spirit and culture of Olympic Movement.
