In the afternoon of October 15, 2011, “Civilized Xiamen: Experience Olympic Civilization” Public Benefit Activity was ceremoniously held at XOM, which was sponsored by Propaganda Department of Xiamen Municipal Committee and Civilization Office, undertaken by XOM and Xiamen Net, with the purpose of making vast net friends personally experience and study Olympic development history, sharing civilization construction fruit and advanced service manner of XOM. In addition, the participants were most parent-child, which enabled teenagers to access Olympic culture and enjoy the happiness of Olympics.

At about 2:30 p.m. over 50 net friends arrived at XOM. In the first place, Ms. Wu Yun, the vice curator of XOM, warmly welcomed them to our museum, and then Ms. Wu gave a brief introduction of the relevant information of XOM. After which, led by the guide of our museum, they began their Olympic experience tour from the lobby of the museum.

Led by the guide of our museum, all the net friends successively visit every exhibition hall, such as the lobby, main exhibition halls on 2nd floor, Olympic gallery, etc.. In the main halls on 2nd floor, our guide gave a detailed introduction of the origin and development history of ancient Olympics and modern Olympics, to make the visitors systematically know the past, present, and future of Olympics. Obviously, the rich Olympic collections also drew most of their attention, especially of the children, who constantly asked questions, and our staff answered patiently. In Olympic gallery, children climbed the boxing ring, wore boxing gloves, and experienced the charm of boxing. Finally, they visit the Beijing Olympics Reviewing Exhibition at the coffee house, where they felt honored to climb the podium of Beijing Olympics to enjoy the wonderful experience of being Olympic champion.

In this afternoon, XOM not only let visitors have a good time, but also prepared a nice Olympic gift for every one of them, to make them bring home Olympic happiness.
