Leadership of the Fujian Science and Technology Association paid a visit to the XOM

Led by Minister Yang, a group of 40 people from different municipal Science and Technology Associations had a visit at the XOM.
All the guests were provided not only detailed information of the museum by Deputy Curator WU, paticularly the fact that tens of thousands of students had been welcomed to learn about the Olympic knowledge from visiting the XOM. What most important and educational is recently the museum has been collectiing, organizing and producing a documentary on the interrelationship of sports and science, covering lots of Olympic competition events. To make young students and other visitors to understand the Olympics and the technology used in it from a fresh vantange piont, the documentary will present audience the match views of Olympic Sports with scientific knowledge, which can help to comprehend how the scientific tochnologies were applied into the Olympic Movement, and enrich their scientific knowledge in return.
Following the guide and with great appreciation, they had a visit around the museum and saw the Olympic film. During the visit, the guests showed keen interests in the Olympic collections, particularlly the Beijing Olypic Torch---the perfect combinition of traditional cultural elements and modern technology having been on the top of Everest, as well as the “FOU”, the traditional Chinese musical instrument appled with modern technology of photoelectricity.
For the whole visit, Minister Yang expressed the hope of making more efforts to promote Olympic Spirits and Technology among the young generation through making full use of the resources at the museum, developing more Olypic activities and increasing variety of Olympic technologies.
