To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, power the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, carry forward the Chinese traditional culture and Olympic culture and promote cross-straits cultural art exchange and development, guided by the Fujian Administration of Cultural Heritage,  Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Sport, Culture and Tourism Bureau of Xiamen Siming district,hosed by Xiamen Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee and Xiamen Olympic museum,co-organized by Beijing Chunchangzai Cultural Transmission Co., Ltd., Xiamen Honglu Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Youth Palace of Xiangan district ,Culture and Art Research Institute of Fujian Strait Social Development Academy ,and Working Committee of Xiamen Youth Communication Association Across the Straits, sponsored by Xiamen Taigu Coca Cola Co.,Ltd；and Xiamen branch of China Construction Bank, exhibition of calligraphy and painting works of artists from across straits with the theme of “Love China”was grandly held in XOM to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Ms. Xiulian Gu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) and director of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, attended the opening ceremony. At the beginning of the activity,elite representatives of Xiamen communities and all walks of life  gathering in XOM, used the form of Quick Flash,carrying the Olympic flag, national flag, and flag of Xiamen Olympic museum, with full passion，heroic momentum and passionate song to eulogize the great achievement of China, expressing their love and best wishes to the motherland.

A poem written in praise of Xiamen Olympic museum was presented as the highlight for this activity, which sublimated the patriotic feelings and Olympic feelings again and again. The readers were full of energy and passion. They combined the meaningful words with  cadence into a surging recitation in the museum. May the Olympic spirit be passed on forever and wish the great motherland be more glorious.

Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, member of IOC,chairman of IOC Cultural and Olympic Heritage Commission and curator of Xiamen Olympic Museum, delivered a welcome speech to the guests on behalf of the museum. Mr.Shenyang Chen,section chief of the organization department of Xiamen Municipal Committee Executive Commission, on behalf of Xiamen municipal committee, expressed sincere congratulations on the holding of this event, and also affirmed Xiamen Olympic museum's efforts in cultural communication, tourism development and sports promotion since its officially opening in 2008.Mr.Chen said "The Olympic museum is located in Xiamen special zone and serves as a bridge for people from both sides of the straits. Every year, the museum attracts many Taiwan compatriots and overseas Chinese to visit, and young people from both sides of the straits have held summer camp exchange activities in the museum to jointly understand the Olympic culture and spirit.

Mr. Ping Xie, deputy director of Fujian Administration of Cultural Heritage, on behalf of Fujian Administration of Cultural Heritage, affirmed the cultural development of Xiamen Olympic museum during the past 11 years, and  wished the success of the event. He said: "Xiamen Olympic museum gives full play to museum’s function and role, vigorously carrys forward the rich atmosphere of the Olympic culture and spirit ,makes efforts to serve the society and the public. It has carried out many colorful activities, especially at the aspect of teenagers education, sports cultural exchanges across the straits, creative cultural products development, the Olympic exhibition and so on, achieving good results."

During the opening ceremony, Xiamen Olympic museum completed  co-construction ceremony with Xiamen sports industry association, national headquarters of the Boundless Runners Community ,Fujian Triathlon Association, Xiamen Happy Football Promotion Center, Xiamen Buds Youth Football Club, Xiamen Boxing Association , Xiamen Roller Skating Association, Fujian Rope Skipping Association, Xiamen Sports Association of Sailing Yacht. In order to better integrate individual sports and Olympic culture, we will explore new ideas to promote the concept of strong sports and strong bodies, and spread the Olympic culture and spirit in a larger scope through the joint efforts with the association, so as to help to power the 2022 Beijing winter Olympics.

Mr.Jinsheng Jia,Chairman of Beijing Chungchangzai cultural communication Co., Ltd, Ms.Xiaofeng Huang，dean of Xiamen Honglu Calligraphy and Painting Academy,Mr.Shuisheng Ye,Chairman of Xiamen Lianfu Group,  Mr.Hailun Li, the fourth generation of Qibaishi, Mr,Guangzhi Fang,professor of Xiamen University and Mr.Zhibiao Hong, dean of Huaxia Centurial Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Academy, donated their collections and precious works to Xiamen Olympic museum, therefore more people could get in touch with and enjoyed China traditional culture. Mr.Ching-Kuo Wu,member of IOC, curator of Xiamen Olympic museum received the donation on behalf of the museum.

During the opening ceremony, Ms. Xiulian Gu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tenth National People's Congress (NPC) and director of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, Ms.Yazhi Liu, executive deputy director of China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, Ms.Qunying Liu,deputy director of Fujian Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee,Mr.Shenyang Chen,section chief of organization department of Xiamen Municipal Committee Executive Commission,and Mr.Ching-Kuo Wu,member of IOC,chairman of IOC Cultural and Olympic Heritage Commission held the torch and lighted the “Brazier of Holy fire” and opened the prelude of the calligraphy and painting exhibition, winning the praise of the guests.The  presence of Ms. Xiulian Gu delivered her great expectation for the dissemination of sports spirit,Olympic spirit and culture,and encouragement to the transmission of knowledge and culture to the youth, and the inheritance of the sports and Olympic spirit.

During this activity, Beijing Chunchangzai Cultural Transmission Company, Ximen Honglu Calligraphy and Painting Academy,Xiamen Recite Association,  Fujian Rope Skipping Association and Fengtingxuan Cultural Transmission Co., Ltd brought wonderful artistic shows. Fancy rope skipping "Colorful Rope flying" was full of passion, which performed art in the form of sport and showed the innovative charm of the sport; Dancing "High Mountain" integrated cross-strait emotions into the dance,sending the blessing;Chinese Zither solo "Fishing Boat In the Evening",with the tune lingering around , let everyone immersed in the distant music; Passionate samba dance, heart-warming sign language performance, male chorus, song medley, face changing and other wonderful performances attracted the attention of the audience and were memorable for them .

Among the paintings and calligraphy exhibition ,people appreciated the works of famous artists. Citizen Mr.Li said“I am a calligraphy lover，it’s an rare opportunity to view so many authentic works of famous artists at one time.In particular, the strong feeling of the Olympics contained is unforgettable to me. We are also looking forward to the 2022 Beijing winter Olympics." This activity used the form of calligraphy and painting to transmit the Olympic culture,the Olympic spirit and engraved the quintessence of Olympics into the ink,which would be  permanent preserved through the forms of text and painting , from generation to generation.

The exhibition aimed to carry forward the styles of calligraphy and painting of various parties and draw on the essence of traditional art. It received positive response and strong support from artists and calligraphers from both sides of the straits，displaying nearly 300 works of famous calligraphy and painting works with elaborate creation and individual characteristic. The works on display included excellent calligraphy and painting work of Mr.Mingyu Yang, member of China Calligraphy and Painting Association, member of Fujian Artists Association, Mr.Qixiang,Aixinjueluo, the ninth generation of Emperor Yongzheng of Qing dynasty, Mr.Dongkui Wu, dean of Huaxia Calligraphy and Painting Academy，Mr.Ronghai Li, vice chairman of Central Government Painting and Calligraphy Association, Mr.Wenzhan Jiang,dean of Xian Chinese Painting Academy etc., as well as  Fuming He, Taiwan army general ,Meiyun Wu ,president of Taiwan Art Association,Guosheng Wu, Taiwan army general ,Yuchun Lin ,president of Taiwan Art Association and so on.

During the activity, many famous calligraphy and painting artists

used their paintbrushes to offer their praise for the motherland and the Olympics, bringing visitors a feast of calligraphy and painting. Meanwhile, it was also a way to draw friends and deepen the friendship between the straits. Used such traditional art to express patriotic feelings, and also used painting and calligraphy to display Olympics with condensed passion on the nib and to write down the most sincere blessing. This event was really a gathering of famous and elegant artists.

The successful holding of this exhibition  not only provided a platform for artists from both sides of the straits to exchange and learn, but also increased the knowledge of traditional Chinese culture and enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the citizens. The successful holding of this exhibition had played a positive role in promoting the development of Xiamen's art and culture, and spreading the Olympic spirit.   

On the site of activity, retired veteran cadres who braved the wind and rain to come to Xiamen Olympic museum to take part in the activities, excitedly said to the editor: "We were very excited to hear the news of the event to be held, and contacted immediately the neighborhood to organize us here, to witness this important moment together. This event is particularly meaningful. It not only expresses the best wishes for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, but also deepens cultural exchanges across the straits."  

Xiamen Olympic museum, as the first Olympic culture museum in China approved by IOC and the China Olympic committee, trys to spread the host civilization while passing on the Olympic culture, and welcomes guests from all over the world with a passionate, open and inclusive attitude.
