Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, Curator of XOM, Attended the Theme Forum "When World Expo Meets Olympics" and Delivered a Keynote Speech

On the afternoon of April 15, Mr. Ching-Kuo Wu, curator of Xiamen Olympic museum, as the guest, attended the theme forum "When World Expo Meets Olympics" jointly held by the practice zone business corporation, China Taiwan compatriots association and the American chamber of commerce in Shanghai. The forum was held ceremoniously in Shanghai design center inside Shanghai practice area. Nearly 200 audience attended the forum.



Mr.Ching-Kuo Wu, a member of the international Olympic committee, delivered a keynote speech, pointing out the driving force of the Beijing Olympic Games for urban construction and its subsequent development, and elaborating on the great significance of the world-class event for urban construction and regional development.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics greatly promoted the urban infrastructure construction in Beijing, actively developed Olympic tourism as a tourism industry with Beijing characteristics. The Olympics also further strengthened environmental protection, raised public awareness of environmental protection and created an ecological space for sustainable development. In addition, through the Olympics, Beijing had built various of world-class sports facilities and venues. From the 2008 summer Olympics to the upcoming 2022 winter Olympics, Beijing's "two Olympics"was a perfect sublimation of the Chinese "Olympic dream".



Mr.Fangming Cai was also the guest speaker at the meeting. Through detailed data and multi-angle analysis, Mr.Ching-kuo Wu and Mr.Fangmingcai brought  wonderful speeches for the guests . In the round table session later, the five guests had a positive interaction with the audience, and the forum had its consummation in a warm and happy atmosphere.



The forum was a wonderful collision of the two international issues of the world Expo and the Olympics. The world-class event not only brought world-class advanced ideas and broad vision, but also went deep into the urban development texture, practiced the construction of green ecological city, and brought profound influence to the urban economic improvement, civilization progress and livable industry.



Xiamen Olympic Museum, one of the twenty-eight members of the International Olympic Museums Network, is a non-profitable international organization approved by International Olympic Committee and China Olympic Committee. It is also the first Olympic museum founded by Mr.Ching-kuo Wu. Among the over 11000 items in the museum,most exhibits are Mr.Wu’s personal collections of the Olympic correlative cultural relics and souvenirs during his 21 years as a member of the international Olympic committee, including Olympic torches, medals, stamps, badges, coins, mascots, etc. These precious collections were displayed to the world in order to inherit the Olympic culture.
