Set Sail the Olympic Spirit -Teachers and Students from Xiamen Kangle No.2 Primary School Have a Study Tour in XOM

Classroom education and extra-curricular activities should be closely combined to broaden students’ horizons, and to promote their understanding of Olympic history and culture. This morning, nearly 900 students from Xiamen Kangle No.2 Primary Schooll visited Xiamen Olympic museum under the lead of their teachers.

 

In the center of the hall of XOM, the architectural stytle of spherical vault and quadrate under partwhich was unique and profound,  aroused children's infinite reverie.



In the museum, students gathered around the Heaven Jade which had been slept at the bottom of Yangtze river for billions of years. Later, they watched the international Olympic treasure collections, Olympic art gallery, Olympic mascots etc.



The collections in XOM was just like the concentration of the international Olympic culture, which broadened the student’s horizen and provided them an immersive Olympic experience.  There existed profound learning atmosphere in every corner around the museum.



In order to enhance the communication and friendship between team members, promote team cooperation and cohesion, interactive games such as Rolling Wheels, Olympic Gold Medal Battle, and Throwing Arrows to Vase etc. were elaborately arranged,in which students participated actively and happily.



Through the social practice activities,  the students felt the glory of the Olympic culture and the charm of the Olympic spirit; they appreciated the style of the Olympic champions and the charm of the Olympic technology; their interest and enthusiasm in the Olympics were stimulated.  In the meantime, listening to the inspirational stories behind the collections, they learnt to be more positive to gain their achievement in life.



Volunteers from Xiamen Anxi Commerce Chamber actively participated in the activity and contributed to the promotion of the Olympic spirit and the spread of Olympic culture.
