"The Internation Sports Exhibition" Held By Xiamen Olympic Museum

May 18, day of International Museum Day, the opening ceremony of “international sports exhibition” which was cosponsored by Xiamen Sports bureau was held in Xiamen Olympic Museum .
There are more than 400 collections which is donated by Lausanne Olympic Museum in 2012. These collections came from different areas. Some of them are made by the IOC or some National Olympic Committees. There are also some exquisite collections which are made by some artists who ardently love Olympics. Most of these collections are made for commemorating Olympics and spreading Olympics. These medals, stamps and arts show not only the memory of Olympic history but also the global people’s enthusiasm on Olympics. This show would last for 2 months. Welcome to our museum for visiting.
The aim of this show is to present the Olympic culture to people totally and to enrich people’s sports culture. By this, more citizens would take part in the Olympics and more national fitness activities will be paid attention to. Moreover, this kind of activities could strengthen the communication between Xiamen sports and the international sports.
Day of International Museum Day was founded by ICOM in 1977. In this day, all the museums in the world would hold all kinds of activities to celebrate this festival so that the museums would be knew by more people and then express its social duty better. The theme of 2013 International Museum Day is “(Museums(memory+creativity)=socialchange)”
