Xiamen Olymplic Museum Holds “Passion Olymlpics, Happy Dicing” Activity to Celebrate China’s National Day and the Mid-autumn Festival

The National Day and the Mid-autumn Festival is upcoming, to make visitors have a happy vacation, Xiamen Olympic Museum will hold an activity of “Passion Olympics, Happy Dicing” from September 18 through October 9. This activity includes London Olympic Games exhibition and “State Happiness”, a news photo collage exhibition, to let the visitors have a further understanding of Olympics and enjoy Olympic happiness. Meanwhile, Xiamen’s traditional custom—dicing game, will be arranged in the activity, to let visitors experience the special culture of Southern Fujian. To appeal to the vast public to pay attention to Olympic Movement, the museum will also put forward some favorable measures during the activity.
More than 200 Olympic exhibits will be at display in the London 2012 Exhibition, including Olympic torch, mascot, official posters, commemorative coins, commemorative stamps, Olympic wears, and 300 Olympic photos representing the most meaningful wonderful moments of London Games. The large news photo collage --“State Happiness”, with 14.64 meters length and 2.4 meters width, which was created by famous writer and artist Professor Shi-Liang Yang, was of great educational meaning and collecting value. In addition, the museum introduces a 4D interactive games system which includes several categories such as sports, reinforcing intelligence, interesting games, covering table tennis, tennis, racing, bowling and so on. The 4D system is very popular with the youngsters.
As for dicing game, every visitor to the museum during the activity time has a chance to take part in the dicing game for three times by presenting a ticket, and we’ll take the best for prize.
To appreciate the great support and love of our visitors, the museum will also put forward a series of favorable measures: people whose birthday is in the activity time can visit the museum for free just presenting his/her ID card; people who are Xiamen citizens or hold Xiamen temporary residence permit have a right to visit the museum by the favorable ticket price of 30 yuan; the elder over 70 years old, active servicemen, and the disable can visit the museum for free by presenting the relevant certificates; and students will enjoy a favorable ticket price of 25 yuan by presenting the student certificate.
Xiamen Olympic Museum is the first Olympic Museum in China proved both by International Olympic Committee and Chinese Olympic Committee, and also one of the twelve members of International Olympic Museum Network. It is an independent international non-profitable organization. The museum was planed, designed, and founded by IOC member, AIBA president Dr. Ching-Kuo Wu. He is also a world-renowned architect expert and the curator of the museum. The museum has a great number of collections and is aimed at transmitting Olympic culture and spreading Olympic spirit, to make more people learn, experience and share Olympic history and glory.
