On the morning of 30th March, the children from Xiang Lu Kindergarten, Jiang Tou Kindergarten, Hua Yue Kindergarten, Wu Shi Pu Kindergarten and Yong Sheng Kindergarten come to Xiamen Olympic Museum for Olympic science dissemination and cultural experience.
The kids, under their teachers’ organization and guidance, follow the narrators to enter the museum in an orderly way. What first catches their eyes is an 80 tons Heaven Jade from Yangzi River. The narrators introduce the history and symbolic significance of the Heaven Jade in details. In the museum, the children view the Olympic and Paralympic medals, Xiangyun Torches, Fou and other Olympic collectibles. Afterwards, the children go to the main exhibition halls upstairs. They are told the history of ancient Olympic games, the development of modern Olympic games and the story of Olympic Games champion, etc. In the Olympic art gallery, the kids view the calligraphies, paintings and seal cuttings of Olympic Games. They also see the boxing exhibition and step into the boxing ring to feel the atmosphere. Lastly, the children take photos with the Xiangyun torches and watch Fuwa cartoons.
Though the visit only lasts three hours, the kids have a good time and learn a lot of Olympic knowledge. Before leaving, the kids reluctantly say goodbye to their narrators.
